Wisconsin Dems Boycott Budget Repair Bill Vote, Teachers Protest
In an attempt to pursuade some Conservatives to change their minds on WI budget repair, Senate Democrats have fleed their offices and gone into some level of hiding apparently outside of Wisconsin. CCWriter proposes if you have left your post as any form of government employee, it is justifiable to immediately terminate your employment. I don’t know the facts of this story, (and I’m learning quickly this is actually a very smart idea to learn those facts when you start shootin’ off your mouth at a really liberal advertising agency’s water cooler) but still, this officially gets a WTF. Seriously, are they toddlers? Fired. All of them. Immediately.
Where is Ronald Reagan when you need him. Get your asses back to work or your fired. Taking a 4 day weekend won’t solve your beef. Reagan would have fired all of them just the same as he did to the Airline workers.
I wonder if, in their classes, they teach that the best solution to a problem is to take your ball and go home. Great example your setting. And dont think for a minute the kids are on your side. The kids are just thrilled they get a 4 day weekend.
WI teachers and their self serving Unions should all be fined or in case of teachers, FIRED.
To bus the children who didn’t even know what what going on is disheartening. To call in and lie to get out of work/class shows their ethics pretty clearly. Then to use these students as a shield shows how pathetic their character really is.
They would not be teaching my children, they demand to teach evolution and the Liberal agenda as if it was acceptable to the average human.
I saw so many WI kids on utube say they had no idea why they were there. Some thought “maybe” to protest something.
Enough is enough with these mobster Union thugs and their pal Obama. Unions had 23 personal office visits to Obama BEFORE our General was granted ONE short visit on Air Force One.

Hey Union, you want to save $ for retirement, STOP lining the pockets of corrupt Dems/Obama with MILLIONS and you may just have some money down the road for the “teachers”.
No dedicated teacher would do this to their students, a Union teacher would sale out their Mother.

So since I stayed in my classroom this week I get to have an opinion? Maybe I voted for Walker….you’d be surprised….but if you truly believe that most of us are lining the pockets of one party or another you are more blind than Stevie W. at the bottom of an oil well…. Do you really know what you are talking about Debbie or just listen to what’s going on around you and puke it back out? You may have cut and pasted that comment from some other ignorant blog for all I know. Debbie, go back to doing Dallas!
Should say ‘aren’t lining’. My son, that is only 3, and has been educated by this lazy teacher, has taught him how to send a reply already. Sorry….he hit “Add your Reply” while I was counting all the tax dollars I took and hid in a secret safe!!!
JT, Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I personally just appreciate the opinion more of the teachers that chose to educate the kids rather than walking out on them. In one rather conservative Wash. Cty community the teachers chose to do a peaceful walk thru town AFTER school hours, which allowed the teachers to send a message and everyone got to witness that during the busiest time of day when working people are out of work and on their way home. The action was peaceful and effective without missing school or costing their communities $$.
Just didn’t like hearing “Union Teacher would ‘sale out their mother’……There isn’t ANYTHING I wouldn’t do for my kids and MOST of the teachers I feel the same! Are there some teachers that NEED to go? YES!!! Do I agree with the ones that skipped out? Not all of them….but people should check around. SOME administrations allowed one or two ‘union’ members to go to Madison for a day or two. They were realizing that some weren’t going to ‘sick out’ so they met up and worked things out so some could represent. I understand the anger but I hope everyone realizes this has NOTHING to do with money anymore for Walker! It has to do with POWER!!! It really is that simple. He claims that he can’t bargain with unions because “by law, good faith bargaining must be made when BOTH sides have something to offer…Wisconsin is broke, therefore he has nothing to offer” (His words) If he only allows wages to be bargained, then by law we wouldn’t be able to as teachers because we would have nothing to offer in return. He knows that. He would have been better off reimplementing the QEO and still allowing bargaining. I wasn’t so sure that this was the time to lift the QEO and didn’t agree when Doyle did it. I didn’t like it when Doyle tried to JAM a high speed rail down my throat and I don’t like Walker trying to jam this down my throat. I knew we’d have to pay in….no issues there. But he NEVER let on he’d do this….he knew he would have lost!! Anyway, you are correct…..everyone is entitled to their opinion and I may have gotten carried away in regards to my comment to Debbie…..for that I apologize! But don’t try to make me feel ashamed for what I do!!! It’s who I am and I’m DAMN proud of being a teacher!
The unions in plenty of other states don’t have bargaining rights, as a matter of fact neither do the federal employees.. They also pay more for health care and more into their pension. My question to you is what do you do, or what is it that makes you more deserving than them? Why aren’t they out protesting if this is such a catastrophe.
