From the prison guards: when criminals know they’re going to get out earlier for good behavior, they behave better.  The rates of recidivism are lower than the national averages and it saves the State money.  Do a few early release prisoners do bad things, yes.  Do most of the Losers who come to this blog do bad/illegal things, almost daily.  Our repubs in charge think it’s  a great idea for “truth in sentencing” so we can pay more to incarcerate longer than needed.  Who wins here?  Oh, I forgot, as we privatize prisons, the shareholders get more cash the more people we lock up.  I just hope they don’t lock up these ladies, it could cause some problems.
