Girls of NBC Thursday – Community
Well Losers, it is season finale time for many of our favorite shows. I, like pretty much the rest of America, am a fan of NBC’s Thursday night line up – Community, Parks and Rec, and The Office. (Never got into Thirty Rock, sorry). Over the course of this week we’re going to take a look at these these three shows. And this wouldn’t be LosersBracket, if we didn’t take a look at the ladies of these fine shows – so of course we will.
First up, Community. I don’t know if many people watch Community, but it is my favorite of the three by far. The season finale was last week actually – it involved an epic paintball battle on the grounds of Greendale College. Man would that be fun. This show is heavy on the sarcasm. They manage to spoof all sorts of crazy shit, and pull it off well. Claymation Christmas, Pulp Fiction Birthday Party, Halloween Zombie action, and the Cowboy/Starwars Paintball finale, like I said, was epic.

Troy and Abed are a dynamic duo on this show. When this show winds down, I’m calling spin off comedy featuring those two dudes. Chevy Chase is spot on in this show. Ken Jeong’s character was better when he was the Japanese guy teaching spanish – he has gotten a little to wacky in my opinion. Ken Jeong is the crazy japanese guy from the Hangover movies (that’s right, there is a sequel).
It will be interesting to see where Community goes in the next couple years – these people have now been at community college for two years. Shouldn’t they be moving on to the University pretty soon? Anyway, I’m getting off track. All the characters are well done, it’s a great show, you should check it out.
Here is a Wisconsin connection to the show – Abed is played by Danny Pudi, Marquette Grad. Name another funny guy from Marquette? Yep, the fat guy in the skinny coat, good ol Chris Farley. Pudi received the inaugural Chris Farley Scholarship – pretty cool.
Danny Pudi is a funny dude.

Anyway, here are the ladies of Community
Annie (Alison Brie) – very much a girl next door type on the show.
Britta (Gillian Jacobs) – plays a wanna be hippy feminist type.
On Wednesday, we’ll take a look at Parks and Recreation. There are a couple good looking ladies on this show. But this show is all about Ron Swanson, his sweet ‘stach, and his view of the government.
30 rock is the only one I DVR. I was a huge community fan when it first came out, but I only have enough time to watch one show other than “swamp people”. (review article coming?).
I see the end of parks and rec when I watch 30 rock and I find it funny, not funny enough to press 3 buttons to DVR it however.
Totally agree with the post, Community is awesome. The paintball finale was great and Alison Brie is hot. Funny cuz just like 2 days ago I was checking out how talented she was via google. You guys should youtube childish gambino, its Donald Glover rapping and the songs are good and funny.
Time for a Mulligans steak…
