PASSION

I believe passion might be the key to life.  Hard to explain, but you know the energy when you see it.  Isn’t it bottom line what we all want from ourselves and those around us.   No matter if it is the bedroom or the boardroom.   If it’s how we raise our kids, how we are served at a restaurant, or how we expect our sports players to act.   Passion.  We want true passion.  It takes energy, time, focus, but the end of the day I think this should be your ultimate goal.  PURSUE WITH PASSION.   And it is very easy, just do it.

I even believe our Lord wishes us to live with passion.  Here are a few quotes from the GOOD BOOK.

Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

1 Corinthians 9:24 ¶ Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Even if the end result is not perfect if we live and play with passion, are we not satisfied and aren’t those around us proud of the way you pursued it?  Of course they are!  I have seen passion at Karoke, fishing, golf, anything… !!!!

Here is what brought me to the story.  The below is someone that is filled with passion for Pearl Jam.  Yeah, that’s right, the band.  It’s an actual awesome little clip.  If you take the passion out of the guy what do you have left?   A crappy power point.  And do I care that Alive is the most played song in concert by Pearl Jam?  Hell no.

But do I care because this nut job does?

HELL YES.    Add some passion and the recipe for success just went off the charts and now I CARE DEEPLY!

So today and every day run with passion.  And if you are not passionate about something don’t do it, or do it quickly so your soul can explode and you can have an impact on this world with your passion, make time for your passion, no matter how small of impact it will have on you or the world.  And don’t be ashamed of what it is, and certainly don’t do it for the money or for others or because you THINK YOU SHOULD do it because you are filled with PASSION that has no limits.
