I haven’t filled out a bracket in 7 or 8 years. And here’s why. I love to win. Hate even more to lose. And I don’t know shit about Iowa State or Iowa for that matter. Last year we had a cat pick our LosersBracket 2011 NCAA Tournament Bracket. This year, well, I got a little carried away. I decided that I would randomly pick the winner of each game, out of a hat, with the number of paper slips each team has in the hat determined by their seeding. For example; #4 seed Wisconsin vs. #13 seed Montana. Wisconsin had 13 slips of paper in the hat, Montana had 4. Get it? Just reverse the seeding to apply the appropriate weight of each teams’ seed to the random selection hat. A #16 has 1 slip while the #1 seed has 16. Seems to make sense…..kind of.
